Founded by Brigitte Bertschi in 1975, Bertschi School is an independent school committed to providing children a balanced education that nurtures their intellect, imagination, and character. Arcade is a non-profit organization in Seattle that releases quarterly magazines and sparks discussion about design and the built environment. Check out their website, which was just redesigned by If/Then.

I’m giving a talk on March 31 for the Graphic Artist Guild of Seattle. They asked if I could give a primer on typography and I thought I’d have fun with it. Apple is a company that prides itself on design…unless you’re talking about icons for your account. Some of these have been around since OS X started, and all of them look like they were from a 90s PhotoDisc CD. Apple, please give us new icons on the next release of OS X.
